Prescription & Compounding Policy

Overview

This policy explains, in general terms, how prescriptions and any compounded medications are handled at Miss Caerus Wellness. It applies only to services and medications the Practice actually provides following an evaluation.

Provider Discretion and Patient-Specific Prescriptions

A prescription is issued only at the discretion of a licensed provider, based on an individual evaluation, and is specific to the patient for whom it is written. No prescription, treatment, or eligibility is guaranteed.

Evaluation Required

Before any medication may be considered, an appropriate medical evaluation is required. The provider may determine that a medication is not appropriate or that additional testing or an in-person visit is needed.

Pharmacy Fulfillment

Where a prescription is issued, it is dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. The pharmacy, not the website, fills and ships or dispenses the medication subject to applicable law.

Compounded Medications

If a compounded medication is used, you should understand that compounded medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for a specific patient and are not reviewed or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the same way as commercially manufactured, FDA-approved drugs. Compounded medications may carry additional risks, and availability may be limited by law and by pharmacy practice.

No Guarantee of Availability or Eligibility

The Practice does not guarantee that any particular medication, including any compounded medication, is available or appropriate for you. Availability is subject to clinical judgment, regulatory limits, and pharmacy practice.
